Living Room Ideas 2018 Fall / Winter Decor Tips
After summer in the great outdoors, autumn pushes us to reintegrate our interiors. To celebrate the return of cool weather, our stylist Amanda proposes to give a little autumn air to the decoration. Here to explore preview looks of IKEA 2018 trends catalog.
“I like to take advantage of a change of season to rework a room. Autumn brings back to me the return of darkness and cold but also magnificent colors and incredible changes in nature.
Amanda advises to choose a palette of colors that you like, lightings and elements of nature.
“I chose old roses and grays, which combine beautifully. To complete, I used natural elements like pebbles and branches, which give the room a lot of warmth and intimacy without taking away its elegance.”
In terms of colors, Amanda began to relook the room by painting the walls in pink and lining the sofa with gray covers. If you are not really ready to repaint, Amanda advises to use textiles to play on the color palette. You can also take a look some simple ideas on How to Customize an Urban Apartment in Town.
“Textiles always have a softening effect, I love them, it’s a simple and practical solution to get in tune with the seasons or just change color.”
On the textile side, Amanda added a carpet , plaids , cushions and curtains to fine-tune the look of the room. The other advantage of the thing is obviously that the carpet and the curtains help to keep the heat inside and that the blankets and the plaids further improve the comfort of the sofa at night. After the textiles, Amanda tackled the lighting.
“Do not be afraid to play with the lights. Here I used the FADO lamp, which I placed on a pretty stone, and I placed a light garland in a glass vase.”
